Progress in the Construction of the Clean and Efficient Gasification Gas Comprehensive Utilization Project by Jingmei Group / Author/Source: Baiyin Release / Date: 2020-03-11 / Clicks: 32 On January 13, taking advantage of the time during the third session of the 13th Provincial People’s Congress, Vice Governor Li Peixing listened to reports on the progress of Jingmei Group’s clean and efficient gasification gas comprehensive utilization project as well as the construction of the Baiyin coal storage, transportation, trading, and conversion base. Zhang Xuchen, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, said in his report that the clean and efficient gasification gas comprehensive utilization project of Jingmei Group is a major initiative in our city to promote the clean and efficient development and utilization of coal resources, as well as to foster the integrated use of coal in power generation, chemical production, and heating. The preliminary procedures for the project are being accelerated, and the resettlement plan for the residents has been prepared. Strive to start construction in the first half of this year, aiming to turn this project into a model for cooperation between the government and enterprises as well as a high-quality project for the province’s ecological and green development. The project will be implemented in two phases; the first phase is scheduled to be ready for construction by the end of 2019, with operations set to begin by the end of 2021 ; The construction period for the second phase is planned to be two years. At present, the project has completed the preliminary tasks such as registration, geological surveys, safety assessment reviews, and preparation of environmental impact reports; other tasks such as land acquisition and water resource evaluations are currently in progress. Upon completion of the project, it will be able to convert approximately 1.8 million tons of raw coal annually on-site, enabling annual production of 700,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of methanol, 216 million Nm3 of (CO+H2), 60,000 tons of melamine, 50,000 tons of urea solution, and 50,000 tons of food-grade liquid CO2. Additionally, products such as liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid argon, and catalysts will also be produced. The project is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 2.733 billion yuan, a profit of 667 million yuan, and total tax revenues of 747 million yuan.
