(I) Brief description of the construction project: (1) Project name: Cangzhou Xulong Chemical Co., Ltd.’s sulfur-based acid production project (Phase I: 600,000 tons per year of sulfur-based acid production). (2) Constructor: Cangzhou Xulong Chemical Co., Ltd. (3) Location of construction: South of Zhongsu Gang Road and east of Lunt Street in the Bohai New Area of Cangzhou; the coordinates of the plant site are 38°19′18.27″ north latitude and 117°43′24.23″ east longitude. (4) Nature of construction: New construction. (5) Construction scale: Annual production of 600,000 tons of sulfuric acid. (6) Project investment: The total investment amounts to 289.92 million yuan, of which 6.26 million yuan is allocated to environmental protection measures, accounting for 2.16% of the total investment. (II) Major pollutants from the construction project and environmental protection measures: Exhaust gases: The dust-containing exhaust gases generated during the feeding of solid sulfur and its transfer via conveyor belts are collected using collection hoods and then sent to a bag filter for purification. The treated exhaust gases are discharged through an exhaust stack 15 meters high, meeting the special emission limits for air pollutants specified in Table 6 of the \"Emission Standards for Pollutants in Sulfuric Acid Industry\" (GB26132-2010). The flue gas from the sulfur combustion furnace in this project is used to produce acid through a \"4+1\" two-turn two-absorption reaction process. The exhaust gas is demisted by a high-efficiency fiber mist eliminator at the top of the second absorption tower, and then sent to a hydrogen peroxide spray tower for further purification. The treated exhaust gas is discharged through a 68-m-high exhaust stack; the volume of exhaust gas released is 145,400 m3/h. The levels of SO2 and sulfuric acid mist meet the special emission limits for air pollutants specified in Table 6 of the \"Emission Standards for Pollutants in the Sulfuric Acid Industry\" (GB26132-2010), as well as the requirements regarding the baseline exhaust volume per unit of product specified in Table 7. The levels of NOx comply with the emission limits for air pollutants from industrial furnaces specified in Table 2 of the \"Emission Standards for Air Pollutants from Industrial Furnaces\" (DB13/1640-2012), as well as the requirements set out in the notice issued by the Cangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau regarding the special implementation plans for the control of air pollutants from industrial furnaces. Wastewater: The wastewater from the canteen is treated in an oil separator before being combined with domestic sewage and sent to a septic tank for further treatment. It is then discharged together with other wastewater streams to the sewage treatment plant operated by Bohai New Area Botou Sewage Treatment Co., Ltd. in Gangcheng District, in compliance with the intermediate discharge standards specified in Table 3 of the \"Emission Standards for Pollutants from Sulfuric Acid Industry\" (GB26132-2010), as well as the water quality requirements of that sewage treatment plant. Noise: After the project is completed, the noise emissions at the factory boundary will meet the Class 3 standards specified in the \"Standards for Environmental Noise Emissions at the Boundaries of Industrial Enterprises\" (GB12348-2008). Solid waste: This project implements effective measures for the treatment and disposal of solid waste generated, preventing secondary pollution and having minimal impact on the surrounding environment.
