Successful comprehensive trial operation of Storage and Transportation Series A for the Baofeng methanol project carried out by Sinochem Sixth Construction Company Author/Source: Sinochem Sixth Construction Company Date: April 8, 2020 Clicks: 116 On the afternoon of April 1, the comprehensive trial operation of the belt conveyors used for transporting raw coal within Storage and Transportation Series A of the Baofeng methanol project, which was constructed by the sixth branch of China Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd., was completed successfully in one attempt. More than 50 people attended the commissioning ceremony, including relevant leaders from Baofeng Energy Group, Xiao Yi, the chief engineer of LiuHuaJian, and project management personnel from the sixth branch. At the launch ceremony, the owners highly recognized the efforts and achievements made by LiuHua Jian in resuming work and production actively during the pandemic while ensuring timely completion of projects. The A-series belt conveyor used in this test run has a total length of 850 meters, with a total drop for the belt of 55 meters. Since the project began, the Sixth Branch of LiuHuaJian has overcome various challenges such as delayed drawings, late arrival of materials, high construction difficulties, and the impact of the pandemic. It has laid a total of over 70,000 meters of cables, and installed more than 150 pieces of instrumentation equipment; as a result, the first trial run was successful, laying a solid foundation for commissioning the facility by the middle of this year. This project is a key initiative in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, with plans to go into operation in the second half of this year. Upon completion of the project, the annual methanol production capacity will increase to 2.2 million tons, which will play a positive role in helping the local area develop a high-end coal-based new materials circular economy industry and drive industrial economic growth. Liuhua Jian is responsible for the entire construction process of the project.
