Jinhua Furnace signs contract with total investment of 30 billion yuan for Xinjiang Wangjinglong’s PBAT gasification process and key equipment. On October 22, 2020, Xinjiang Wangjinglong Materials Co., Ltd. and Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. signed a contract in Korla City for Jinhua Furnace’s 3.0 high-pressure water gasification process package and key equipment. Jia Ping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture and Deputy Prefect, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The project of Xinjiang Wangjing Long New Materials Co., Ltd., which aims to produce 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol and 200,000 tons of polyoxymethylene per year, utilizes the water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier technology (Jinhua Furnace 3.0) developed by Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua Technology Co., Ltd. The gasification pressure is 6.5 MPaG, and the effective gas production capacity of each furnace is 100,000 Nm3/h (CO + H2). The gasification unit is designed with four units in operation and one as a backup. The engineering design was carried out by Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. The Jinhua furnace is an essential ‘major industrial asset’ for the coal chemical industry in a context of abundant coal but limited oil and gas resources; it provides an effective solution for the comprehensive utilization of high-carbon, high-sulfur, and high-ash coal across the country. Jinhua Furnace 3.0 boasts unique advantages in the gasification of \"high-ash, high-sulfur, and high-carbon\" coals, as well as in terms of energy savings and consumption reduction. The technology behind this project has passed the evaluation conducted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, which rated it as being at an internationally leading level. Moreover, its market share from newly signed contracts over the past three years has reached 70%. In Xinjiang, China, the contents of Na2O and K2O in coal ash are relatively high; the total amount of these substances in coal ash is even close to 4%. The scale of gasification using refractory brick furnaces is small ； Need lump coal ； High steam consumption ； The gasification process generates a large volume of wastewater with a complex composition, containing pollutants such as tar, naphthalene, and phenols; thus, treating this wastewater is difficult, requires significant investment, and incurs high costs. In several areas of Xinjiang, the use of refractory bricks for gasification of high-alkali slag coal has led to severe erosion of the refractory materials. Xinjiang Tianzhi Chenye Chemical Co., Ltd. uses locally sourced high-alkali slag coal in its Jinhua furnaces, achieving stable operation without any signs of corrosion. Jinhua’s furnace gasification technology exhibits good adaptability to high-alkalinity slag coal in Xinjiang, offers significant advantages in terms of plant safety and stability, and is characterized by low investment and operating costs, providing an excellent solution for the utilization of low-quality coal in Xinjiang. The PBAT production project with an annual capacity of 1.3 million tons at Xinjiang Wangjing Long New Materials Co., Ltd. was officially established on March 27 this year in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industrial Park of the Shangku High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Korla. PBAT (degradable plastic) is an environmentally friendly material with excellent properties; it can reduce the consumption of petroleum resources and alleviate the \"white pollution\" caused by plastic mulch in Xinjiang. Upon completion of the project, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 32.4 billion yuan, profits and taxes of around 9 billion yuan, and create more than 3,000 new jobs. On that day, Xinjiang Wangjing Long New Materials Co., Ltd. signed cooperation agreements with 9 partners regarding investment, process technology, and key equipment, marking the start of the countdown to the commencement of this project.
