On June 13, 2020, a meeting was held at Henan Liyuan Coal and Coke Group to review the preliminary design for Henan Liyuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s 1.28 million tons/year coking and gas comprehensive utilization project, which was designed by Shandong Metallurgical Design Institute Co., Ltd. Yi Zhongde, general manager of the institute, Lin Jisheng and Song Zhishun, deputy general managers, as well as the project leader, chief designer, and heads of various related departments attended this review meeting. General Manager Yi Zhongde delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the design party. He first welcomed the experts for taking the time to come to Liyuan for the review, and expressed his gratitude to Liyuan Group for its support and assistance throughout the project’s preliminary planning stage, as well as for the high level of attention given by the entire company ； We thank all the experts for their scientific and rigorous approach, as well as their pragmatic spirit, in carefully examining the preliminary design; they provided valuable suggestions and opinions that helped to meet the design requirements for the Liyuan project, namely advanced processes, reliable technology, safety and environmental protection, as well as economic efficiency and energy savings. Together, we strive to turn Liyuan Coking into a world-class coking enterprise. During the review period, the members of the Shanye design project team provided a detailed explanation of the project’s overall layout plan, comprehensive technical solutions, and preliminary design details. They listened carefully to the opinions of the experts from the review panel and engaged in in-depth discussions with those experts as well as the project owner. Upon review, the expert committee unanimously agreed that the preliminary design documents for the project are largely complete, have reached the appropriate level of detail required for this stage of design, and meet the requirements for review ； The process selection and the choice of key equipment are advanced; the technology is mature and reliable, reaching a leading level in China and meeting the process requirements ； It complies with **, as well as relevant industry standards and specifications, in terms of construction scale, process selection, safety, environmental protection, and energy efficiency. The expert committee approved the preliminary design review of the project; the feedback obtained from this review, after being supplemented and refined, can serve as a basis for the detailed design in the next stage. The 1.28 million tons per year coking and comprehensive gas utilization project at Henan Liyuan utilizes the 6.25m rammed coke oven technology. It represents another major project in which Shanye Engineering has applied PW coking technology, following the coking projects at the Rizhao high-quality production base of Shanggang Group and the Xianggang coking project of Hualing Group. In this project, the 6.25m ramming coke oven incorporates a range of advanced technologies such as air-segmented combustion assistance, asymmetric flue designs, pressure regulation for individual carbonization chambers, and anti-deformation segmental protection plates.
