The 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol production facility in Yulin has been lifted into place! Author/Source: Refining & Chemical Industry Updates Date: 2021-01-28 Clicks: 6 On the afternoon of January 24, 2021, the last large-scale equipment in the series of synthesis units for Shaanxi Coal Group’s Yulin Chemical 1.8 million tons/year ethylene glycol project, namely the MN regeneration tower, was hoisted into place by Liuhe Construction. Thus, the lifting of the large-scale equipment for the series of synthesis units has been successfully completed, with all the main process equipment in place. A series of dimethyl oxalate plants, consisting of 3 synthesis units of equal scale and 1 distillation unit, are an important part of the Shaanxi Coal Ethylene Glycol project. This series of synthesis units incorporates large-scale equipment such as reactors, MN regeneration towers, gas removal towers, and nitric acid reduction towers – a total of 54 units. The heaviest of these devices weighs 376 tons, while the lightest weighs 97 tons. All of the equipment comes equipped with necessary accessories, and the towers are fitted with lighting. From the start of steel structure installation to the completion of lifting the main process equipment, the entire process took 162 days. The successful completion of the lifting of a series of synthesis equipment marks the imminent transition to pipeline installation for these synthesis projects, representing another significant milestone achieved in the ethylene glycol project. After the installation of a series of equipment is completed, during the Spring Festival, the Ethylene Glycol Project Team of Liuhua Construction will strive to finish installing the large-scale equipment in the second series, thereby ensuring the completion of the entire \"21630\" project.
