On July 13, the steel structure columns for the main fan building of the DMTO unit in the 600,000 tons/year methanol-to-olefins plant, as part of the Yulin Energy Chemical Plant’s completion project (Phase I), were transported to the site for installation. On the same day, the first layer of box columns in the polymerization framework of the 400,000 tons/year polypropylene (third line) unit was successfully installed, marking the full entry into the installation phase of the steel structure works for the 400,000 tons/year polypropylene (third line) unit and the DMTO unit of the 600,000 tons/year methanol-to-olefins unit as part of the YuNengHua project’s completion efforts (Phase I), which are under the responsibility of Company Three. The 400,000 tons/year polypropylene (third line) plant mainly includes a catalyst dosing unit, a prepolymerization unit, a multi-zone continuous reaction unit, a degassing and monomer recovery unit, an extrusion granulation unit, etc. The steel structure installation weighs a total of 3,900 tons; the polymerization frame is 36.9 m long, 15.7 m wide, and 71.8 m high, with a total weight of 1,600 tons. The completion project for the first phase of Yulin Energy Chemical Complex is a key initiative aimed at implementing the requirements set by the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government to \"enhance the demonstration effect of the comprehensive utilization projects for coal, oil, and gas resources in Jingbian,\" as well as the goals of Yan’an Petroleum Group regarding \"changing development models and adjusting the industrial structure.\" With an investment of 14.413 billion yuan, this project will use coal and natural gas as raw materials to build integrated facilities capable of producing 1.8 million tons per year of methanol, 600,000 tons per year of methanol-to-olefins products, 400,000 tons per year of polypropylene, and 300,000 tons per year of low-density polyethylene/Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate copolymer (LDPE/EVA). The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2020; by then, Yueneng Chemical’s polyolefin production capacity will increase to 1.8 million tons per year. This is expected to boost annual sales revenue by 7.338 billion yuan and profits and taxes by 2.1 billion yuan.
