The construction period has been 5 or 6 years now; it’s likely that those installed earlier have already turned into piles of scrap metal. I’m really worried about the MTO unit that is set to start operating next year.

On November 18, the joint commissioning of the air compressor units in Zhungeer Company’s air separation unit was successful, marking the start of the operational testing phase for the entire project. At 14:10, the turbine of the air compressor unit began to spin up, marking the official start of the joint commissioning. By 16:20, the turbine reached its operating speed, and the air compressor unit started operating under load; all parameters such as vibration, temperature, and shaft displacement were within normal ranges. This marks the successful joint commissioning of the air compressor units in the air separation unit for the methanol deep processing project. The air separation air compressor unit is the largest power equipment in an air separation plant, and it consists of a turbine, an air compressor, and a booster. The successful joint commissioning of the air compressor unit ensures the feasibility of subsequent steps such as filling the packing in the air separation unit and purging the cryogenic tank, thereby laying a solid foundation for the pilot production of the project.

On November 20, a meeting to review the pilot production plan for Jutai Jungar Company’s methanol deep processing project was held in the conference room on the first floor of the company’s administrative building. Lin Xiangquan, the company’s deputy general manager, along with several senior executives and the heads of various units and areas, attended the meeting. At this review meeting for the pilot production plan of the methanol deep processing project, an expert group from the Autonomous Region’s Work Safety Supervision Bureau, along with technical personnel from Baotou Shenhua Olefins, conducted reviews of the overall pilot production plan as well as the pilot production plans for each individual unit. Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the risks during the trial operation, verify whether the measures and emergency plans are adequate, and determine the feasibility of the pilot production plan. After the meeting, the expert team went to the site to inspect the equipment, examined one by one the trial production conditions for each device outlined in the plan, and compiled a list of the existing problems. The persons in charge of each device and section revised the trial production plan to ensure its smooth progress.

A construction period of five or six years is indeed quite long
