Progress on the Gas Power Platform Project and the Comprehensive Utilization of Syngas Project in the campus of Hualu Hengsheng (Jingzhou) Co., Ltd. Recently, the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the Gas Power Platform Project in the campus of Hualu Hengsheng (Jingzhou) Co., Ltd. and the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (draft for approval) for the Comprehensive Utilization of Syngas Project have been completed and submitted to the Jingzhou Ecology and Environment Bureau in Hubei Province for approval. On October 31, 2020, Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. signed agreements with Jingzhou City and Jiangling County in Hubei Province to invest in the construction of the Hualu Hengsheng Jingzhou Modern Coal Chemical Industry Base in the Jiangling Economic Development Zone. Projects for a gas power platform and the comprehensive utilization of syngas have been planned for this area. Among them, the gas power platform project in the park uses coal as raw material, and employs advanced production processes such as the multi-nozzle water-coal slurry pressurized gasification process and low-temperature cryogenic separation process to produce syngas, high-pressure nitrogen, and steam. The total investment for the gas power platform project in the proposed park is 5,924.31 billion yuan. The proposed syngas comprehensive utilization project will use the crude syngas produced by the park’s gas power platform to manufacture downstream products. There are mainly two product lines: one involves using crude syngas as a raw material to produce synthetic ammonia, and then using liquid ammonia and C2 to produce urea; the other involves using crude syngas as a raw material to produce acetic acid, DMF, and mixed methylamines. The total investment for the project is 5.60379 billion yuan. The park’s gas power platform project and the proposed syngas comprehensive utilization project are designed, constructed, and put into operation simultaneously. In November 2020, Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. established Hualu Hengsheng (Jingzhou) Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 3 billion yuan. This company is responsible for the construction and operation of the gas power platform project as well as the comprehensive utilization project of syngas in the industrial park.
