Main factors affecting the CO2 content in the reaction gas

Dear all, when our company started operations, the CO2 content in the reaction gas reached 1,000 ppm. May I ask what factors influence this, and how can it be adjusted?
It is understandable that there are fluctuations in the CO2 level in the reactor. Our facility uses methanol that is produced internally; once the system becomes stable, if the CO2 level remains high, it’s necessary to investigate the cause, which might be an excessive amount of waxes or other substances in the methanol
I wonder what temperature range you use for controlling the reaction? Analyze the content of metal ions in your methanol raw material and the content of metal ions in the supplementary steam. Is it just an increase in carbon dioxide, or are carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide levels generally high as well?
