Furnace C in Shaanxi Chemical’s gasification unit has been operating steadily since it was put into use on March 3, and it was shut down as planned on May 23, after running for a total of 81 days – setting a new record for the best operating period since its initial operation. To thoroughly implement the company’s \"2022 ‘Comprehensive Hazard Inspection and Management Improvement’ along with the Implementation Plan for Key Tasks,\" the gasification plant attaches great importance to all key tasks. Regarding the requirement that the operation duration of the gasification furnace burners should be ≥80 days as part of the key initiative to conduct thorough inspections for potential hazards and improve management, the gasification plant conducted a comprehensive analysis of the issues that hinder the long-term stable operation of the gasification furnaces, such as scaling and blockage caused by system graywater, as well as the low concentration of effective components in the syngas. Effective improvement measures were then developed to address these problems. After the plan was formulated, the branch plant increased the frequency of water quality analysis to enhance the system’s capacity for treating ash water and reduce the amount of slag in it; it also modified or replaced the ash water pipelines that were severely affected by scaling. The process burner was technically upgraded to improve its atomization efficiency; as a result, the operation of the gasification furnace improved significantly after the upgraded burner was put into use, and the concentration of the useful components in the syngas also increased markedly. Strengthen equipment management to ensure its long-term stable operation; strictly enforce quality control for equipment spare parts and maintenance work; enhance employees’ knowledge of equipment management; improve the equipment management capabilities and overall management level of the branch factory, thereby laying a solid foundation for the long-term stable operation of the gasifier.
