Project Overview Anyang Shunli Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. plans to build a facility in Nan Industrial Road, Tongye Town, Yindu District, Anyang City, to produce green, low-carbon methanol and LNG from CO2; the total investment for this project is 700 million yuan. This project utilizes the hydrogen- and methane-rich coke oven gas from Shuncheng Group, along with CO2 captured from industrial waste gases, to synthesize methanol and produce LNG as a by-product. Process technology: The proprietary ETL green methanol synthesis process developed by CRI in Iceland, along with a new domestic method for purifying coke oven gas through cryogenic separation and CO2 capture technology, is employed. Through processes such as gas compression, purification, deep cryogenic separation, methanol synthesis, and distillation, green and low-carbon methanol is produced along with LNG. The main equipment includes: reactors, purification towers, cold boxes, heating furnaces, heat exchangers, compressors, etc. The annual direct reduction in CO2 emissions is 100,000 tons. Compared with traditional methanol production using coke oven gas, this technology for producing green, low-carbon methanol from coke oven gas while simultaneously generating LNG represents a new and more efficient approach for making use of coke oven gas as a source of clean energy.
