Recently, the instrument interlocks of the Series I low-temperature methanol washing unit in the gasification and purification project department of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. passed the material testing, allowing the system to operate stably in water-cooled mode. This task represents another important milestone following the pipeline purging of the device, the testing of the pumps, and the completion of system airtightness checks; it signifies a solid step forward by the project team toward achieving the goal of starting up the plant for trial operation. Water flushing uses demineralized water and air as process media, which flow through pipes and equipment under certain pressure to clean them; it also enables the assessment of the reliability of the equipment’s operation as well as its automatic control and interlock systems. To ensure the smooth progress of the water commissioning for Low-Temperature Methanol Wash Unit Series I, the project team developed a detailed water commissioning plan and organized technical experts from various fields to conduct comprehensive PSSR inspections, implement necessary actions, and make corrections prior to the commissioning. The stable operation of this water-transport operation not only verified the construction and individual unit testing of Low-Temperature Methanol Wash Unit Series I, but also accumulated systematic practical experience, laying a solid foundation for the successful one-time feeding and commissioning of the Low-Temperature Methanol Wash Unit in the future.
