On October 22, the installation work for the boiler unit in the power station of the 500,000 tons/year coal-based ethanol project at Yushen Energy Chemicals, Yan’an Petroleum Company, was successfully commenced. Relevant technical personnel from Yushen Nenghua, Beiyou Project, Shaanxi Huajian, as well as the supervision unit, attended this commencement ceremony. It is reported that this power station is responsible for supplying steam of various grades and some electricity to the various units throughout the plant. There are 3 high-temperature, high-pressure boilers, utilizing the Dongfang Boiler fluidized bed technology, with a capacity of 3×260 tons per hour; each boiler is expected to require around 3,200 tons of steel. To successfully achieve the goal of lighting the first boiler on October 30, 2021, Yushen Company made comprehensive arrangements, enforced strict requirements, implemented meticulous management, and carried out scientific construction methods; as a result, the start date for the installation work at the power station was 10 days earlier than the originally planned date. The successful commencement of the installation work for the main boiler of the power station has created favorable conditions for the progress of the power station project, and it also provides more time for the subsequent construction phases of the ethanol project. 60% model review completed for the purification unit of the Yushen ethanol project. On October 23, 2020, the 60% model of the purification unit for Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemicals’ 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project passed the review. Professional technicians from Yushen Company, relevant designers from Beiyou Engineering Company, experts from Dalian Jiacun Gas Purification Technology Development Co., Ltd., and China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. attended the review meeting. During the review session, experts from Dalian Jiacun Gas Purification Technology Development Co., Ltd. provided suggestions regarding the 60% scale model of the purification unit from the perspective of process package design. Experts from China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. conducted a thorough review of this 60% scale model from the standpoint of policies and industry standards. Professional technicians from Yushen Company made additional improvements with regard to the operability and maintainability of the purification unit. Following extensive discussions among all parties, a total of 46 optimization suggestions were put forward. Next, the design institute will modify and refine the model based on these suggestions. The successful holding of this review meeting marks the completion of 50% of the detailed design tasks for this device, laying a solid foundation for the timely and high-quality completion of the 90% model design work for the subsequent purification device. It is understood that the Yucheng 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project operated by Yanjiang Petroleum has a total investment of 6.98 billion yuan. Located in the Qingshui Industrial Park of the Yucheng Industrial Zone, it utilizes the ethanol production technology based on dimethyl ether carbonylation, which was developed jointly by Yanjiang Petroleum and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Construction on this project officially began on November 6, 2018, with completion scheduled for the end of 2021. The successful topping out of the structure now lays a solid foundation for the project to be completed on schedule.
