Photos: Recently, the kickoff meeting for the preliminary design phase of the syngas supply and related projects undertaken by Tianchen Company for Shanghai Huayi Industrial Gas Co., Ltd. was held successfully. Zheng Bijun, General Manager of Shanghai Huayi Industrial Gas Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Huayi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd., Meng Qingjun, Chief Engineer of the same companies, Bian Ming, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Tianchen Company, and Feng Hui, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Huayi Engineering Co., Ltd., attended the meeting. During the discussion session that followed the meeting, the participants carefully reviewed and discussed various aspects such as the objectives and tasks of this basic design, the overall situation of the project, the project specifications, the design foundations, coordination procedures, schedule plans, and the division of responsibilities for interface coordination. The heads of various specialties exchanged in-depth views on the unified regulations applicable to their respective fields, taking into account both the actual conditions and strict requirements of the project site, as well as the successful experiences gained from projects such as the Guangxi Huayi Gas Island project. Through systematic discussions and collective brainstorming, everyone reached a series of consensuses. This meeting clarified the project objectives for the syngas supply and related projects of Shanghai Huayi Industrial Gas Co., Ltd., unified thoughts and strengthened confidence, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project’s preliminary design. It also marked the official entry of this project into accelerated development mode. Huayi Gas, Huayi’s project team, as well as the person in charge of Tianchen Company’s natural gas business unit and relevant members of the project team attended the meeting. Project overview: The project mainly involves the construction of a new acetic acid plant with an annual capacity of 800,000 tons, as well as a synthetic ammonia plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons; it also includes the supply of 80,000 Nm3/h of CO+H2 to the chemical industrial zone, along with related supporting facilities. The main construction components of this project include: air separation unit, POX unit, MDEA purification unit, membrane separation and PSA units, CO cryogenic tank unit, ammonia synthesis unit, acetic acid unit, etc. The main auxiliary devices and utility systems comprise a circulating water system, desalination station, reclaimed water reuse system, main substation, regional substations, comprehensive building, control room, analysis and testing building, hazardous chemicals storage area, spare parts warehouse, maintenance and repair workshop, hazardous waste temporary storage area, foam station/rainfall valve room, fire accident water tank, rainwater monitoring tank, security booth, flare stack, etc.
