Do electrical valve positioners with feedback modules require power supply? Those I use all need a 24V power source; I heard that there are some that don’t require a 24V power source. Is that true? If available, could you provide a wiring diagram?
Check the manufacturer’s instructions. Generally, the power supply and signal share a pair of wires.
If it is an intelligent locator, it isn’t necessary. In the case of an electrical converter, that position module also functions as a transmitter, and it generally requires a 24V power supply
