Hello, everyone! I have a question. When reading the API specifications, I came across requirements regarding the minimum cross-sectional area of the grounding wire for welding machines. The specification states: \"The minimum cross-sectional area of the return ground cable should be 645 circular mm per 1000 amperes per 30.5 m (one million circular mils per 1000 amperes per 100 ft) of cable.\" I’m not familiar with electrical terms, so I don’t understand what this specification means. Could you please explain it in simpler terms in Chinese? I also checked; “Circular mm” seems to mean square millimeters, and “one million circular mils” represents the cross-sectional area of a wire with a diameter of 1 inch. But I’m not sure how to explain “per 1000 amperes per 30.5 m”.
Can a 30.5-meter cable carry a current of 1000 amperes?
