Hello, everyone! What kind of refinery is a fully hydrogenated refinery exactly? What processes are used? Thank you!
Full-hydrogenation refineries mainly refer to the hydrocracking of heavy oil, without catalytic or coking units.

Heavy oil processing employs hydrogenation technology, and all products leaving the refinery undergo hydrogenation.
Apart from atmospheric and vacuum distillation, there’s also naphtha hydrogenation (including reforming), gasoline and diesel hydrogenation (including upgrading), jet fuel hydrogenation, wax oil hydrogenation (including cracking), and residue hydrogenation – that’s about it
