The operating pressure of the high-pressure system in our newly installed unit is 16 MPa. How many pressure levels are generally used when using a compressor to test for air tightness? Is it appropriate to conduct a gas-tightness test in stages of 0.6MPa, 2.0MPa, 4.0MPa, 8.0MPa, 12.0MPa, and 16.0MPa?
By the way, during the further pressure increase process, once it is confirmed that there is no leakage at a certain pressure, should the pressure be maintained for a while, or should the pressure increase be continued directly?
The operating pressure is 16 MPa; why does the airtightness check stop once it reaches 16 MPa?

I think the stage level is fine, but the maximum pressure should be at least 1.3 times the operating pressure
It is not recommended to use air pressure for airtightness – it’s too dangerous! ! It is recommended to do a water pressure test!
Why? What is the danger of air pressure? Some devices are difficult to dry and may not be suitable for use with water
