Does a high hydrogen sulfide content in the recycled hydrogen affect the desiliconization effect? Why does the hydrogen sulfide level continue to rise after starting up, even though the sulfur content has been reduced to below 1000 after the catalyst sulfidation is complete?
It should have little impact on desilication; Co,Mo catalysts need to be in a sulfided state to remain active; therefore, the circulating hydrogen must contain 0.05%-0.3% sulfur. During the feeding of naphtha, the organic sulfur in the oil is converted into inorganic sulfur, which results in a high hydrogen sulfide content – that’s my personal opinion.
In my opinion, it is due to an incomplete sulfur removal process after the catalyst sulfidation is completed.
