Preparing to commission a newly built hydrofining unit. Hydrogenation reaction systems are usually purged with gas; it is not clear whether water flushing can be used to improve the cleaning effect.
The hydrogenation reaction system does not require water flushing; before loading the catalyst, the system is purged (by blasting), dried, and the reactor is inspected for any debris;
Desalinated water can also be used for flushing, but the chloride content in the water must be controlled. After the trial sealing is completed, the water must be removed using hot gas
There are requirements regarding chloride ions for the material; I’ve never heard of a washing process for the reaction system~~~
The reaction system can be pressurized with water, so why can’t it be washed with water?
The reaction system design will not include a water flushing process. Consider the scenario where the hydrogen feed pump pumps water into the reactor; then how could the water flow on to subsequent processes? (It would be even more impossible if two reactors are connected in series.) It’s even less possible to fill the reactor with water ; It’s likely that the design institute is also struggling with the concept of water flushing for the reaction system.
Water flushing ensures that the chloride ion content is below 25 ppm; this is acceptable, and drying with nitrogen can be used
Yes, but drying equipment is needed afterward. It will be troublesome at that time, and energy consumption will be high. High requirements are placed on chloride ions during washing.
