Since the system pressure is extremely high, there can be no room for the slightest mistake during operation. Aside from the instructions for use, does anyone have any specific experience in using it? Please share it! Thank you
Pressure isn’t scary; just increase it slowly. The main thing to focus on is the hydrogen sulfide concentration in the circulating hydrogen! Strengthen protection! Prevent poisoning!
If you are not very familiar with the process, it is best to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus, or have one person conduct the sampling while another provides supervision and guidance! To determine the wind direction, no one is allowed to stand in the downwind position! After sampling, relieve the pressure in the sampler by venting (or replace it with nitrogen as indicated in the instructions)! During sampling, the valve only needs to be opened slowly until the pressure approaches its maximum level; it’s not necessary to open the valve fully – a slight excess is sufficient!

Generally, the backside of the sampler is connected to a venting system; once the backside is opened, the front side is opened as well, and the pressure is controlled using the pressure relief valve. In this way, the pressure at the sampling point is approximately equal to the pressure in the venting system, and appropriate safety measures suffice.

Be sure to pay attention to the wind direction; usually, there is no one supervising during sampling. When replacing the gas bladder three times, I turned the air-exhaust nozzle in the upwind direction even though I wasn’t breathing in air – this is my technique for collecting cyclohydrogen; feel free to discuss it
