Construction Begins on Shenmu Fuyou’s 500,000 tons/year Coal Tar Hydrogenation Project to Produce Naphthenic Oils / Source: YahuacCoalChemicals Date: 2018-09-07 Clicks: 37 At 9 a.m. on September 2, 2018, amid a festive atmosphere filled with firecrackers, the first and second phases of Shenmu Fuyou Company’s much-anticipated second-phase project – the “500,000 tons/year coal tar full fraction hydrogenation project to produce naphthenic oils” – officially commenced, marking a new chapter in the construction of this project. At the commencement ceremony, Si Zongkun, the project manager for the Yulin project at Sinopec’s Tenth Construction Company, which is the contractor for this section, presented the preparations made for construction ; Sun Xijin from Qingdao Huapeng Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. delivered a statement on behalf of the supervision unit ; Wang Shenglong, the company’s chief engineer and executive deputy commander of the second-phase project, put forward requirements for the collaborating units regarding the careful organization, scientific management, and efficient advancement of the project construction ; Zhu Bo, deputy manager and chief engineer of the Northwest Branch of Sinopec 10th Construction Co., Ltd., announced the start of construction. The 500,000 tons per year project for the hydrogenation of the full fraction of coal tar to produce naphthenic oils is a project developed by our company. It utilizes coal tar as raw material and employs proprietary technology for the hydrogenation of the full fraction of coal tar to produce high-value-added oils. This project has been included in the Industrial Demonstration Projects listed in the \"Energy Technology Revolution Innovation Action Plan (2016–2030)\) issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, as well as in the demonstration projects outlined in the National Energy Administration’s \"13th Five-Year Plan for the Deep Processing of Coal Industry.\" Nearly 100 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony, including relevant personnel from the project constructor and supervision unit, as well as leaders of Fuyou Company and heads of relevant departments.
