Can someone tell me what the difference is between military aviation kerosene and Jet A-3? I’m completely confused
The boiling range of the fuel sprayed from No. 3 is relatively narrow, while that of military aviation fuel is wider. Aircraft kerosene comes in grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5; grade 3 is the most commonly used, primarily in civil aviation aircraft. The scope of military standards is also relatively broad; depending on the applicable aircraft models and engines, different boiling ranges and specifications are required for military aviation fuel. There are even those that contain a portion of gasoline components.
