Why is it necessary to turn on the secondary level first and then the primary level? And why should the vacuum valve be turned off first before turning off the steam valve?
To protect the turbine from backflow of steam and drain water
Putting the secondary stage first creates a negative pressure in the primary heat exchanger, thereby providing an outlet at the primary outlet
Turn off the steam first, and air will immediately flow back in, destroying the vacuum!
