Short-cycle distillation generally refers to the cycle of a distillation column and a stripping column. Are there any that cycle around with low scores as well?
I’ve never seen it; our low scores relate to the reaction section.

With low scores, how does your oil get to the stripping tower? You must be referring to the start line. I’ve seen designs that include a start line, but these days such designs are hardly used anymore.
There’s a pump. . . Bottom pump of the distillation tower, followed by nitrogen purge in the stripping tower, which enters the distillation tower under pressure.
Cold low scores can be tolerated; nitrogen pressure supplementation can be used in the distillation section
