The elbows and tees at the condensate line of the device often leak after being subjected to friction; is there any effective way to address this?
The pipeline material has been upgraded; a thick-walled tee has been used, with reduced-diameter pipelines added before and after the tee.
Regularly measure the thickness of pipelines in areas prone to erosion and corrosion, in order to carry out preventive maintenance
1. Optionally, add an expansion tank; steam is released from the top of the tank, while pure water is sent out from below. 2. The pressure reserve of the backflow pipeline can be appropriately increased to prevent vaporization and the severe erosion caused by the coexistence of vapor and liquid. 3. Another approach is to upgrade the thickness and standards of the pipelines; it is possible to consider upgrading only at the elbows or tees where leaks are likely to occur. For the flange connections before and after such elbows or tees, if a leak occurs, it is possible to interrupt service for a short period of time in order to replace them with pre-fabricated components.
Ours is fine; there’s no frequent leakage as you mentioned.
1. Replace the steam trap to reduce the amount of vapor in the condensate, thereby minimizing erosion and corrosion. 2. Monitor the quality of steam and condensate to prevent oxygen corrosion. 3. Increase pressure to change the phase of water. 4. Increase the pipe diameter.
