I often see online how tough the workers in the oil refining and chemical industries have it to deal with. I’ll share some things from my own experience; just take it as a joke. Hehe. Our factory is located in the Yangtze River Delta; it’s not very large. As for our department, there is a hydrogenation unit, and each shift consists of about 14 people, most of whom were born in the 1980s or 1990s. Let’s talk about those born in the 1990s. Which family doesn’t have money? Those with factories still come here to work shifts; the cost of cars is over 200,000 yuan. In our team of 12 people, aside from one experienced worker and one newcomer who don’t own cars, everyone else has one. It seems that refining oil is still a profitable business, haha. Sea friends, what do you think? Aren’t there also many such people around you?
It’s quite common to have cars these days, right? Our company has over 900 employees, and the queue for factory access passes numbers over 800; in other words, eight out of ten people here own cars.

I met a driver born in the 1990s at an organization in Ordos; he drove a BMW worth 700,000 to 800,000 yuan and earned a monthly salary of 3,000 yuan as a driver. When I asked him about his situation, he said he did this job to have something to do, and that salary was enough only to cover his cigarette expenses.
These days, many people drive to work but don’t earn much; it’s mainly to have something to do.
There’s some money at home, but not that much. Those born in the 1990s who can afford a car worth 200,000 probably come from families with some money. It’s inevitable to feel tired when trying to support a family; it’s a situation where both of us try our best for each other’s benefit. Every industry has its own hardships!
