Can a reciprocating compressor operate at 50% load for an extended period of time? What are the potential hazards?
It is definitely not recommended to operate at 50% load for a long period of time； Both the unloader and the intake valve are prone to sticking.
Long-term operation may cause problems with the intake valve and exhaust valve.
Don’t we have continuously variable transmissions these days? There shouldn’t be much of a problem, right?
In the case of two-stage compression, 50% operation for an extended period is no problem; however, three-stage compression generally cannot be used for long periods as it leads to increased vibration
There are many problems, mainly the issue of uneven stress on the compressor: lol;P
