On April 7, the upgrade project for electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment in Inner Mongolia Daquan was approved. The project is located at No. 1 Qihang Street, Jiuyuan Industrial Park, Baotou City, Jiuyuan District, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in Baotou City. The project owner is Inner Mongolia Daquan New Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 21 million yuan. Scale and scope of the project: This equipment upgrade project mainly involves the renovation of 2801 electrolyzers (a total of 6 units); each new electrolyzer is capable of producing gas at a rate of ≥600 Nm³/h at the purification outlet, with an H₂ purity of ≥99.9997% (V). For the new electrolyzer-based hydrogen production system, the hydrogen content in oxygen is required to be <0.2% (V/V), and the hydrogen content in oxygen is required to be <1.5% (V/V); the corresponding components are replaced accordingly. At the same time, it is necessary to verify the compatibility between the equipment and facilities originally used with the old electrolyzer and those of the new one, and any components that are not compatible are replaced or modified promptly. After replacing the new electrolyzer, the DC power consumption for hydrogen production at 90% operating load is ≤4.3 kWh/Nm³, and it is ≤4.6 kWh/Nm³ (current method) at 100% operating load ； The operating current of the electrolyzer can be adjusted based on the pressure in the hydrogen buffer tank, thereby reducing the electrical consumption of the electrolyzer.
