Hello everyone. The crude benzene hydrogenation unit in my company has been in operation for 10 years now, with a designed catalyst lifespan of 10 years as well. I would like to know the current operating conditions of pre-reactors in similar units within the industry, specifically focusing on the styrene content in the material exiting the pre-reactor, the degree of reaction conversion, and the bromine index.
For catalysts that have been in use for ten years, the main consideration is whether there is a significant pressure drop; it is decided when to replace the catalyst. Few factories analyze the styrene and bromine values after pre-reaction.
