It belongs to interwall heat exchange. It’s a form of heat conduction.
If there is direct contact, then the water and the medium will mix with each other!
No direct contact. Heat exchange is achieved through the cold water channels in the inner wall of the cylinder.
There is a cooling chamber; the cooling water flows through this cooling chamber
