Our new hydrogen compressor features two stages of compression: the first stage achieves around 45% efficiency, the second stage also reaches around 45%, while the reverse flow stage has an efficiency of around 5%. However, every time the gas valve is removed or after less than three months of operation, the valve gets damaged. The valves are made by Herbig; the manufacturer always blames excessive oil leakage from the oil injector. Our oil injector delivers about 10 units per minute! ? I can’t figure out the reason. This situation may be caused by an excessive amount of oil dripping from the oil injector, resulting in a thick oil film on the valve and increasing its wear rate. It is recommended to adjust the dripping frequency and amount of the oil injector, reducing the number of drops per minute as appropriate.
