The career progression paths for dispatchers include becoming a dispatch team leader, a senior dispatcher, or a vice president at the company level; it’s also possible to continue working in the same role. The workshop supervisor is in charge of certain production units within the company, while the scheduler oversees the production scheduling for the entire system. Operators understand the principles of production for a single piece of equipment, whereas schedulers have an overview of overall production. Shouldn’t scheduling be the responsibility of the deputy supervisors or chief operators in each workshop?
