According to data from the Tianyancha app, Sinopec (600028) has newly obtained an invention patent grant. The title of the patent is “A Method for Utilizing Waste Hydrogenation Phase Catalysts”, with the patent application number CN202310434210.0; the grant date is November 4, 2025. Patent Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for utilizing spent heterogeneous hydrogenation catalysts, which comprises the following steps: (1) Pretreating the spent tungsten-molybdenum-nickel heterogeneous hydrogenation catalyst to obtain catalyst powder ; (2) The catalyst powder, the ternary mixed alkali solution, and the first organic additive are mixed and subjected to a dissolution reaction to yield a tungsten-molybdenum-containing solution and a nickel-aluminum-containing solid phase ; (3) The nickel-aluminum-containing solid phase, inorganic acid, and second organic additive are mixed and subjected to a dissolution reaction to obtain a nickel-aluminum-containing solution ; (4) The tungsten-molybdenum-containing solution and the nickel-aluminum-containing solution are combined in a co-current manner to form a gel; the resulting gel product is subjected to multiple aging processes with gradually decreasing pH values, and the aged product is used to prepare a catalyst. This method enables the efficient recovery of active metals from spent hydrogenation catalysts. The catalysts prepared in this way contain few metal impurities, exhibit high utilization rates of active metals and good crush strength. Additionally, they have a large pore volume and specific surface area, resulting in excellent hydrogenation performance and activity stability. By turning waste into valuable resources, this approach significantly reduces the production costs of catalysts.
