As the title suggests, I would like to ask fellow sailors: once the filter for regenerating the amine-rich solution in our system reaches a certain pressure drop, backwashing is carried out using the lean solution from the back route, which then flows into the underground solvent tank. What should be done with the amine solution containing impurities and coke particles that results from this backwashing process? If backwashing is done with steam or nitrogen, wouldn’t there be less flushing fluid, but it would still be an amine solution containing impurities?

May I ask where the amine liquid coming from the pump outlet of your underground solvent tank is sent? What is the filter accuracy, and how should high pressure difference across this filter be addressed?
The amine liquid at the pump outlet passes through a filter and goes to the lean liquid tank. The filter has a precision of 50μm; it is a bag filter, and when the pressure difference increases, the filter bags need to be replaced
The final step includes filtration by an amine solution purification unit, before discharge into the acidic water system
