As the title suggests, I’m wondering if there are anyone who has used MVR evaporators to concentrate ammonium fluoride. Everyone is welcome to share their experiences and discuss this topic; I’d like to learn more about the reliability of MVR evaporators.

Ammonium fluoride undergoes slight pyrolysis when heated, releasing a small amount of HF and NH3. We previously used a two-effect evaporation system based on graphite; it seems that the equipment had issues and didn’t function properly, so we are considering using an MVR system and have come to learn more about it
It will decompose to produce HF and ammonia; therefore, graphite-based equipment must be used. A MVR should be employed, and a gas scrubber must be installed after the separator in order to minimize the HF content in the steam, otherwise the compressor will get corroded. There are currently no HF-resistant materials available for compressors.
