According to news on September 3, the electronic-grade silane project at Xingtai Silicon Materials has now reached mass production status; the acceptance and commissioning procedures have been completed, enabling operation right after completion of construction. Entering the electronic-grade silane production workshop of Xingtai Silicon Materials located in the Circular Economy Industrial Park of Xintai City, one can see that on the clean yet busy production lines, employees are carrying out trial production in an organized and diligent manner. The electronic-grade silane produced by this project achieves an ultra-high purity of 99.9999%, which enables chips to be made thinner, dissipate heat more quickly, and have greater storage capacity; it will be used directly in advanced semiconductor manufacturing in the future. The project managed to go from foundation-laying to mass production in just 14 months. In particular, when handling the acceptance and commissioning procedures recently, it was sufficient to submit the documents only once, allowing these processes to be completed simultaneously and thus saving valuable time for future market expansion. It is understood that the signing ceremony for this project was held on May 21, 2023. The total investment in the project is 1.5 billion yuan. It involves the construction of production facilities capable of producing 5,000 tons of silane, 50 tons of disilane, 1,000 tons of dichlorosilane, and 100,000 tons of trichlorosilane per year, along with supporting facilities such as quality inspection systems, utility systems, workshops, warehouses, and company office buildings. High-end fluorosilicon materials projects and related facilities will also be built. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of 3 billion yuan.
