On December 11, a public notice was issued regarding the completion of the environmental protection inspection for the second phase of Duofuduo New Materials Co., Ltd.’s project to produce 30,000 tons per year of ultra-pure lithium hexafluorophosphate crystals. The project for producing 30,000 tons per year of ultra-pure lithium hexafluorophosphate crystals has a total investment of 1,00105 million yuan. It is located within the existing facility of Duofuduo New Materials Co., Ltd., and will be constructed in three phases. Each phase involves upgrading and expanding the existing hydrofluoric acid production facilities to increase the HF production capacity by 8,428 tons per year ; A new lithium hexafluorophosphate production facility with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons will be built; in phases one and two, calcium chloride will be produced using the by-product hydrochloric acid, along with the installation of additional production equipment and environmental protection facilities. The first phase of the project for annual production of 30,000 tons of ultra-pure lithium hexafluorophosphate crystals was completed and put into trial operation in April 2023, and passed the independent environmental protection inspection upon completion in September 2023 ; The second phase was completed and put into trial operation in August 2024. The subject of this inspection is the second phase of the project undertaken by Duofuduo New Materials Co., Ltd., which aims to produce 30,000 tons per year of ultra-pure lithium hexafluorophosphate crystals. The inspection covers the progress of construction in the second phase of the project, as well as various environmental protection measures related to waste gas, wastewater, solid waste, and noise. Phase II of the project commenced construction in July 2023; by upgrading and expanding the existing hydrofluoric acid production facilities, the HF production capacity was increased by 8,428 t/year ; A new lithium hexafluorophosphate production facility with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons will be built, generating hydrochloric acid as a by-product; meanwhile, corresponding production equipment and environmental protection facilities will also be installed. The main project and associated facilities were all completed in August 2024. During the construction process, due to market factors and the company’s planning requirements, the construction of the lithium fluoride raw material production line and the calcium chloride by-product production line was canceled. In accordance with the criteria for unqualified acceptance specified in the Interim Measures for Environmental Protection Acceptance upon Completion of Construction Projects, a thorough inspection was carried out on each aspect of Phase II of this project. As a result of careful examination, all emission test results for pollutants from the 30,000-ton per year production facility for ultra-pure lithium hexafluorophosphate manufactured by Duofuduo New Materials Co., Ltd. – Phase II – met the required standards. The environmental protection facilities were implemented as stipulated, with no significant changes occurring; no serious pollution was caused during the construction process, and the acceptance test reports contained no major quality defects. Therefore, it is feasible to make these results public and submit them for record-keeping.
