On February 13, 2026, China Blue Star (Group) Co., Ltd. announced that it had signed an agreement with Elkem ASA to strategically acquire the core assets of its silicone business. The consideration for this transaction will be settled through the redemption of all Aker shares held by Lanxing Company (a total of 338,338,536 shares). Upon completion of the transaction, Blue Star Company will no longer hold any shares in Eken Corporation. Blue Star Company stated that, as a long-term shareholder of Eken Company, it has always regarded the silicone business as a strategically important segment. This acquisition is a key step for the company to deepen its presence in the global silicone industry chain and strengthen its leading position in this sector. By integrating high-quality global assets in the silicone business, Lanxing Company will further enhance its technical capabilities, market scale, and operational efficiency in this field, thereby strengthening its competitiveness across the entire value chain. This transaction is subject to a number of closing conditions, including approval by Eken’s shareholders’ meeting. Eken Company plans to hold an extraordinary general meeting in March 2026 to consider this transaction. If all conditions are met as scheduled, the transaction is expected to be finalized between the end of April and the beginning of May 2026.
