High-end fluoropolymer modification project approved! On April 22, 2025, the Jiujiang Ecology and Environment Bureau approved the environmental impact assessment document for Jiangxi Lihua Chemical Co., Ltd.’s project to upgrade high-end fluoropolymer products, and made it public. The total investment for this project is 15 million yuan. It is located within the existing south plant area of Jiangxi Lihua Chemical Co., Ltd. in the Mawei Industrial City of Ruichang Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi. In the existing Fluoropolymer Plant II, one reactor used for producing perfluoroethylene propylene resin (FEP) along with its associated facilities will be converted into a production line for polytrifluorochloroethylene (PCTFE) resin, while one reactor used for producing polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) dispersion concentrates along with its associated facilities will be converted into a production line for fluorocarbon resin (FEVE). Additionally, a terminal stabilization process will be added to the post-treatment stage for perfluoroethylene propylene resin (FEP). After the renovation, the total production capacity of the fluoropolymer plant II remains unchanged, namely 1,000 tons per year of polytrifluorochloroethylene (PCTFE), 1,000 tons per year (on a percentage basis) of fluorocarbon resins (FEVE), 4,000 tons per year (on a percentage basis) of dispersed polytetrafluoroethylene resins (PTFE), 500 tons per year of dispersed concentrates, 1,500 tons per year of suspended polytetrafluoroethylene resins (PTFE), and 2,000 tons per year of polyperfluoroethylenepropylene resins (FEP).
