Article 33: The user of special equipment shall, prior to the commissioning of such equipment or within 30 days thereafter, register its use with the department responsible for the safety supervision and management of special equipment in order to obtain a registration certificate. The registration mark shall be placed in a prominent position on such special equipment.

The registration mark refers to the fixed registration code assigned to each piece of equipment by the local Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau during the registration process; this mark should be placed in a prominent position on the equipment. This means that the registration code and the serial number for use registration should be sprayed onto the equipment itself, such as on the tank body. If spraying is not feasible, the codes can be printed in large, clear letters on A4 paper, covered with plastic, and then hung in a prominent place on the equipment – this is also an acceptable option. The reason for requiring this practice, as stipulated by relevant laws and regulations, is to facilitate identification. Chemical companies often have a large number of equipment items, such as buffers; this approach is similar to the internal numbering system used for equipment within a company, with the main purpose being to enable easy identification. When inspection agencies conduct regular inspections, they can immediately see these codes, as the first page of the inspection report requires the inclusion of such codes. This requirement is put in place to ease future management. If funds permit, these codes can also be printed on aluminum plates, which makes them even more convenient to use
