1. The location chosen for the air separation plant is inappropriate; it is situated in the center of the entire facility. To the east lies the thermal coal storage area, to the west are the methanol and purification units, and to the north is the gasification plant. No matter how the wind direction changes in the future, this will have an adverse effect on the operation of the air separation unit. This cannot be changed anymore. 2. The air cooler and the self-cleaning air filter are too close to each other, which causes the two units to affect one another during normal operation; this situation cannot be changed. 3. The air separation pre-cooling system and purification system were not designed for the northern climate, which led to abnormal operations; wind shielding facilities are planned to be installed on the pre-cooling system, and electric heating has been added to the purification system. 4. Due to the overly small design of the factory building, it is not possible to remove the core of the cooler at the pressurization end of the air separation expander for inspection and repair; in the future, removing the core will require the demolition of the north wall. 5. The crowded design of the air separation nitrogen compressor plant makes it impossible to properly disassemble and inspect certain equipment; in the future, it will be necessary to remove pipelines in order to carry out such inspections. 6. The nitrogen compressor used for startup is located within the air compressor building; when this compressor is in operation, it has a significant impact on the vibration of the one-to-two unit. Moreover, the noise generated by the one-to-two unit interferes with the routine inspection of the nitrogen compressor used for startup.
