What are the advantages and disadvantages of these two types of support? Let’s discuss them in terms of ease of installation/use/maintenance, cost, and most importantly, safety performance.
Of course, it is fixed to the floating disk frame and moves along with the disk. For the buoy-type floating pads that are widely used today, no manufacturer employs a method of fixing them with supports to a bottom plate. The structure determines the support form. If it’s the old-style floating boat type, I’m not familiar with it, so I won’t say much.

What material are the legs welded to the bottom plate? Welding to the bottom plate provides better stress resistance compared to bolt fixation of the floating vessel’s skeleton, but you need to take into account the thermal stresses on the tank bottom plate as well as the space available during tank cleaning and maintenance
