Regarding the issue of anti-freezing, thermal insulation, and heat tracing, I have an idea and I hope everyone can contribute their ideas to it. For frost protection and heat retention in the northern winters, welded pipelines of approximately DN15 are generally used; sand holes or cracks occurring in these pipelines during use are common problems. In actual production, such issues are often a focus of attention for management agencies at all levels. It is a waste and undermines the image of the production unit. When welding is used, it is necessary to achieve a vapor-free condition, and the processing involved is particularly complicated; plugging leaks under pressure (using binding tape) is often only effective in the short term, and binding tape cannot be used in areas such as elbows. What methods do colleagues use to address the above issues? Please give me some advice. Is there a simple and easy welding method? I would appreciate some guidance from the experienced members of this forum!
I want to know too. 1. The pipeline diagram cannot be found for the heat tracing. 2. There is a diagram, but it does not match the actual setup. 2. It’s not clear whether the leakage is caused by freezing, corrosion, or some other reason; also, it’s unknown what the medium inside the pipe is. If a pressure bandage can be used to seal the leak, the pressure should not be high. If using insulation material to wrap water pipes at room temperature is not effective, it must be a design issue – why not run them underground? There are various ways to prevent insulation panels from getting hot; it is recommended to provide a schematic diagram or describe the specific conditions on site, so that appropriate measures can be taken. The heat trace does not need to be tied; it is welded to the pipe at fixed points. The heat tracing wire itself is relatively thin, so gas welding can be used.
