There were many different opinions during the discussions, mainly due to concerns that changes in the source of hydrogen could lead to changes in impurities, thereby affecting the quality of the glass. Hello, OP. Currently, in industry, hydrogen can be produced from coke oven gas with a purity of five nines, with impurities being only trace amounts of methane and nitrogen. Nothing else can be detected. It is currently used as an annealing shielding gas on the cold rolling production lines in steel mills. There are many similar cases. I wonder what the quality requirements are for hydrogen in float glass? If a purity of 5 nines can ensure quality, then it can be produced using coke oven gas.
