It is simple to determine the fire hazard category of a boiler room using GB-50016-2014 – Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings (2018 revised edition); according to the classification in Table 3.1.1, it falls into Category D. However, chemical enterprises are generally required to comply with GB50160-2008 (2018 edition), the Code for Fire Protection Design of Petrochemical Enterprises. In GB50160, the only defined classifications are Class A, Class B, and Class C; although it states that \"3.0.3 The fire hazard classification of solids shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings (GB50016)\". ”But in the end, it was not clearly stated that “open-flame equipment” belongs to Class D. Furthermore, both 3.0.4 and 3.0.5 state that the fire hazard classification of equipment and buildings is determined based on the chemicals being processed or stored there. Does that count as two incompatible specifications? Or should the boiler rooms of chemical enterprises be classified according to the fuel used to determine their fire hazard level?
