Fire pump Safety valve

What should be the discharge capacity of the safety valve at the outlet of the fire pump? Should it be set to the full flow rate of the fire pump?
Do fire water pumps require safety regulations? What kind of water pump? Centrifugal pumps won’t do; I don’t know how to set them up. There are deep well pumps used for fire fighting, which come with an automatic control box and do not require a safety valve.
