What should one do on their own to pursue a career in chemical engineering for project management tasks after graduation?

As the title suggests, I graduated with a master’s degree in 2018 and have previous work experience at Global Design Institute. Currently, due to my uncertainty regarding the chemical industry, I am inclined to pursue a career in engineering management. If working on projects and similar tasks is the premise, what preparations does one need to make? What else needs to be learned?
To develop expertise in engineering management, a knowledge base across various fields is required; one can look into PMP materials, which cover 9 knowledge areas, but much more needs to be learned through actual project experience. Since you have a master’s degree in chemical engineering and practical experience at HQCEC, it is recommended that you start by working on engineering design. Through this process, you can become familiar with relevant standards and specifications, understand the project construction process, and grasp the overall scope of the project. On this professional foundation, you can then move on to explore and develop skills in project management.

Hello, poster! I worked in design for 10 years and then in project management for another 10 years. I believe there is no such thing as pure project management; one should first master a specialized field, and only after reaching a certain level should they move on to project management.
