For the foundation of a 1,000-cubic-meter oil storage tank, can we avoid using asphalt sand and opt instead for concrete?
In our traditional tank construction, bituminous sand has been used in the laying of the tank bottom foundation, primarily to prevent the intrusion and corrosion of groundwater. Bituminous sand is employed to protect the tank bottom plate from corrosion and to slow down the rate of corrosion.
Sure, avoid water accumulation. Apply an anti-corrosion asphalt primer at the bottom. But this doesn’t work as well as bituminous sand. Self-construction can be considered
